U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Zachariah Ploeger, 6th Air Refueling Squadron boom operator, refuels an F-15 during a mission in the Pacific theater June 4, 2018. The boom operator is responsible for ensuring safe refueling with receiver aircraft thousands of feet above the ground.
