Capt. Jefferson DeBerry, 15th Air Mobility Operations Squadron, was presented the William P. Parenteau Memorial Award Oct. 30 in Washington D.C. The award is given by the Air Traffic Control Association to an individual for outstanding achievement and contribution which has added to the quality, safety and efficiency of air traffic control around the world.

Candy collected for deployed troops, Iraqi children
Local children deposit candy at Foxboro Elementary School, Vacaville, Calif., for Operation Candy Drop Nov. 2. Operation Candy Drop is a program that collects candy and sends it to deployed locations in Southwest Asia. Seven deployed locations will receive the latest shipments, including an orphanage with more than 150 children.
