Mobility aircraft deliver buses to Haiti
U.S. Airmen from the 60th Aerial Port Squadron secures a bus on a 60K loader at Travis Air Force Base, Calif., Nov. 20, 2017. The buses are being airlifted to Port Au Prince, Haiti, through the Denton Program and are part of a humanitarian effort by Those Angels, Inc. founder and Haitian native Claude Joseph. The Denton Amendment is a commodities transportation program that enables for the transport of humanitarian goods on a space available basis using U.S. Military transportation and is jointly administered by the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Department of State, and the Department of Defense. After visiting Haiti in 2014, Joseph realized the area's educational and transportation needs and created the nonprofit based in Oakland, Calif. to help meet those needs.
