U.S. Army photo/Sergeant Kenneth Bruce

Brig. Gen. Donald Currier (left), 49th Military Police Brigade commander, presents Col. James Vechery (right), 60th Air Mobility Wing commander, Nov. 6 with a token of appreciation for outstanding support from Team Travis for the 49th MP brigade's homecoming. The Army unit of nearly 100 Soldiers returned Aug. 10 after a one-year deployment to train the Iraqi police. California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger joined Team Travis to welcome home the Soldiers. Team Travis worked for several weeks with the California National Guard to ensure the welcome home reception allowed for more than 400 family members to greet their returning Soldiers as they exited the plane at Travis Air Force Base.
