Staff Sgt. Brent Dost, and Air Reserve technician with the 349th Maintenance Squadron, works on a C-5C with, right, Staff Sgt. Dan Louden, 60th Maintenance Squadron, and Tom Chalmers, a Department of Defense civilian. What started out as a small repair on the aircraft grew into major repairs with the discovery and cracks underneath the "skin." This C-5C Galaxy, one of only two in Air Force inventory, is specially modified to support shuttle missions for NASA. Both aircraft are housed at Travis. (U.S. Air Force photo/Terry Hendrickson)
