Travis aircrews and Boeing employees offload Wideband Global SATCOM Spacecraft from a C-5 Galaxy Jan. 21 at the Kennedy Space Shuttle Landing Facility, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla. Members of the 22nd Airlift Squadron aircrew first departed Travis and met with Boeing employees in Southern California where the spacecaft was uploaded then flown to Kennedy Space Center. Due to the fragile nature of the $350 million spacecraft, the equipment was offloaded immediately by a pre-positioned offload team. The equipment is part of the Atlas 5 Rocket Mission set to launch March 9.
