Travis receives seventh C-5M Super Galaxy

Delivery of a newly refurbished C-5M Super Galaxy arrives at Travis Air Force Base, California, July 8, 2015. The newly-modernized aircraft is the seventh C-5M to return to Travis following retrograde and refurbishment. The C-5M Super Galaxy incorporates more than 70 aircraft improvements, including new GE CF6-80C2 engines that support a 22 percent increase in thrust, 55 percent greater climb rate, tenfold increase in engine reliability and Stage 4 noise and emission compliance.
