A page from the liner notes of the U.S. Air Force Band of the Golden West album “American Tapestry” highlights the composition “Sound of Unity.” The composition, which was composed by Staff Sgt. David Dormeus, is dedicated to Maryanne Miller, a former four-star general and commander of Air Mobility Command who retired in October. Miller served as commander of the 349th Air Mobility Wing at Travis from January 2008 to November 2009. (U.S. Air Force graphic/Everett Rein)
