Melvin Maxwell, 60th Mission Support Group commander, talks about the significance of the Battle of Chosin Reservoir during the Korean War Dec. 10, 2021, at Travis Air Force Base, California. The Battle of Chosin Reservoir was fought in Changjin County, Northern Korea, from end of November to mid-December, 1950. During these days, 30,000 U.N. forces fought 120,000 Chinese Communist Forces in fatally cold weather.
