DESCRIPTION OF THE PATCH 
Azure, issuant from dexter base a demi-bear erect contournne brown garnished sable, armed or, langued Gules, grasping in its sinister paw a lightning flash bendwise sinister of the last, overall issuant from base a demi-globe vert gridlined of the first; all within a diminished border.

Attached above the disc a blue scroll edged with a narrow yellow border and inscribed "DEEP IN TRADITION" in yellow letters.

Attached below the disc a blue scroll edged with a narrow yellow border and inscribed "60TH COMMUNICATIONS SQ" in yellow letters.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PATCH
Blue and yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The bear denotes the strength, courage, and tenacity of commitment by squadron personnel to the mission. The lightning flash denotes the unit's mission functions of worldwide communication.
