Ensure prior GTC balances have been paid Published Feb. 19, 2009 60th Comptroller Squadron TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Since making the switch to using a new government travel card in November, Team Travis members must ensure all previous outstanding balances have been paid to avoid finance-related problems. Individuals with a remaining account balance on their Bank of America GTCs need to make sure the following steps have been accomplished as soon as possible. 1. Pay off the account as soon as possible as these cards are now obsolete and remaining account balances are all overdue at this time. 2. Split-disbursements to Bank of America cards are no longer available. If unable to pay off the entire amount at the moment, monitor the balance closely to ensure any previously filed split-disbursements to a Bank of America GTC did, in fact, impact your account. Due to the transition to Citibank there have been cases where individuals who originally filed for split-disbursement were paid their entire travel voucher in full to their personal bank account. Any remaining Bank of America account balances, for which the member had not filed a split-disbursement to their card, are now the complete responsibility of the member to ensure the balance is closed out and all debts are paid off. Citibank will be releasing past due statements this month for all members who used Citibank GTCs as early as this past November and have not made payments or paid in full. It is each cardholder's responsibility to ensure that they are not entering into delinquency.
