Travis Credit Union donates to Fisher House Published March 23, 2007 By Travis Credit Union TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The board of directors for the Travis Credit Union recently donated $10,000 to the Travis Fisher House. Shérry Cordonnier, Travis Credit Union director of corporate relations, made the presentation on Feb. 13 to Charlene Hall, Travis Fisher House manager and Jane Hassanieh, assistant manager. "Travis Credit Union is proud of its continued and regular support of the Travis Fisher House," stated Patsy Van Ouwerkerk, president and CEO of Travis Credit Union. "Our contribution helps the program to continue to have a positive impact on the quality of life for servicemembers and their families." The donation will assist families while a servicemember is hospitalized at the David Grant USAF Medical Center. In times of need, the Fisher House provides the opportunity for family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful time -- hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury. "Donations profoundly affect our program," Ms. Hall said. "They enable us to continue to provide services to our families that, without donations, we could not provide. And, because the donation was undesignated, meaning it didn't have to go toward a specific use, it will be used to support operations at the Travis Fisher House." According to Mrs. Hassanieh donations help keep military members and their families comfortable. Headquartered in Vacaville, Calif., the Travis Credit Union is a non-profit cooperative financial institution serving those who live or work in Solano, Yolo, Sacramento, Placer, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Napa, Contra Costa, Alameda, Sonoma, Colusa and Merced Counties.
