Black History Month Heritage flight
A KC-10 Extender assigned to Travis Air Force Base, California, approaches the boom of another KC-10 over Northern California, Feb. 15, 2022. In recognition of Black History Month, an all-Black aircrew conducted air-refueling exercises that support training requirements. The U.S. Congress passed Public Law 99-244 designating each February as “National Black (Afro-American) History Month” Feb. 11, 1986. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Karla Parra)
