OT010 - Former Sludge Disposal Area



The former Sludge Disposal Area (OT010) is located near an inactive sewage treatment plant between Union Creek and multiple oxidation ponds. Site OT010 encompasses 16 acres and currently contains a sewage lift station and overflow ponds.  Metals, pesticides, and PAHs have been detected in the soil at this site.

Based on human health and ecological assessments of the potential risks posed by the contaminants, the North/East/West Industrial Operable Unit Soil, Sediment, and Surface Water Record of Decision selected No Action for the soil at this site. Since there are no other media of concern associated with the former Sludge Disposal Area, the site is closed.
