David Grant USAF Medical Center - Audiology Clinic

DGMC's Audiology Clinic is comprised of dedicated professionals whose primary goal is to prevent, identify, and rehabilitate communication disorders. We aim to provide effective care through diagnosis, treatment, and patient education related to hearing and balance disorders.

Our staff consists of:
· Two Board Certified Audiologists
· A Team of Hospital ENT technicians & support staff

Our services:
· Diagnostic audiometric testing
· Immittence testing
· Acoustic Reflexes
· Otoacoustic Emissions (OAEs)
· Auditory Brainstem Response testing (ABR)
· Videonystagmography (VNG)
· Hearing aid evaluation and fitting
· Newborn hearing screenings
· Tinnitus evaluation
· Hearing Conservation Program.

The Retiree Hearing Aid Purchase Program is an optional program that allows retirees to purchase hearing aids at cost from hearing aid manufacturers in accordance with Air Force Instruction 44-102. The program has been implemented at various Air Force Diagnostic Hearing Centers, including DGMC, on a space available basis. Retirees are encouraged to call the clinic for current access to this program.
 
Who we see:
Beneficiaries: All active duty military, their dependents, and other DOD eligible patients are served. Military retirees and their eligible dependents are also served on a space available basis.
Age Groups: All ages, from neonate to geriatrics. Services are provided to personnel from Beale AFB, USN, USCG, DLI, CA ANG, Army NG, and Reno ANG.

What clinical info we need:
For referrals to Audiology Clinic a consult must be entered by the patient's Primary Care Manager/Physician. 

Patient Instructions:
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to appointment. Patients arriving 10 minutes after their scheduled appointment time will be no-showed for their appointment and will require a new referral. Walk-in patients must be approved by the Audiologists. Front desk administrative personnel are not assigned to the Audiology clinic. Support is provided by the ENT clinic personnel. If coverage is not available a sign will be posted stating reason and instructions.
