David Grant USAF Medical Center - Our Partners

David Grant USAF Medical Center is a tertiary referral Medical Center for other military and federal hospital systems.

DGMC also fulfills a key role in the National Response Framework as the Sacramento region Federal Coordinating Center for the National Disaster Medical System.

We also send our medical staff out into the surrounding communities to work side-by-side with a local network of civilian health care organizations and medical providers via several Training Affiliation Agreements.

This "win-win" arrangement of exchanging medical staff and students with each other allows DGMC to offer specialized patient care to the civilian population while allowing our physicians, nurses and medical technicians to maintain their currency, competency, training and readiness aspects of military medicine. Our extensive knowledge base benefits the medical profession as a whole by providing our own unique and first-hand perspectives in combat medicine, emergency service expertise and inpatient, primary and specialty care to our civilian counterparts.
