Upcoming Events
Here are some special announcements and upcoming events:
  • Travis AFB will hold a meeting for the Travis Restoration Advisory Board on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 7 o'clock at the Office of Northern Solano County Association of Realtors at 3690 Hilborn Road, Fairfield CA.  If you would like more information or need special accommodations for the RAB meeting, please contact Mr. Lonnie Duke, (707) 424-7520.
  • As described in the 2018 Travis AFB Community Relations Plan Update, there are opportunities for interested community members to participate in the Environmental Restoration Program at key milestones and decision points within the Superfund process.  The following ERP documents will be available for community review within the July 2018 - September 2018 timeframe:
    • The No Further Action Record of Decision for the Old Skeet Range (Site TS060) will describe the need for no further action (NFA) to address soil contamination at this site.  The Old Skeet Range was managed under the Military Munitions Response Program, and the base cleaned up lead- and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon-contaminated soil and achieved residential cleanup standards during the 2017 summer construction season.  Because this cleanup work took place as a removal action, the base is issuing a NFA Record of Decision to obtain regulatory and community agreement that the Old Skeet Range has achieved cleanup standards that allow for unlimited use and unrestricted exposure.
    • The Amendment to the West/Annexes/Basewide Operable Unit Soil Record of Decision (ROD) changes the remedies at three soil sites.  The base is issuing this ROD Amendment in order to carry out the field activities needed to remove the Land Use Controls (LUCs) from these sites and make it easier to use this base property to support its mission.
    • The Amendment to the North/East/West Industrial Operable Unit Soil, Sediment and Surface Water ROD changes the remedies at two soil sites.  The base is issuing this ROD Amendment in order to carry out the field activities needed to remove the LUCs from these sites and make it easier to use this base property to support its mission.

ERP

Travis Air Force Base hosts a rich eco-system within Solano County. There is an ongoing environmental cleanup program here to reduce the risk of chemical exposure, and protect human health and the environment. This program is called the Environmental Restoration Program (ERP).
